Face-to-face classroom sessions allow you to learn the principles of writing and apply them to your own writing practice, whether this is in playscripts, news reports, feature articles, novels or poems.

You can choose to study:
These courses give you opportunities to present your writing to the world. You will have the chance to:
- produce a yearly anthology of student work; write, edit and produce professional magazines (such as Platform) and small independent publications
- submit work to magazines, journals, newspapers and websites
- present regular events such as Australian Writers in Conversation
- participate in the Williamstown Literary Festival
- perform poetry, comedy and fiction readings at our annual Students’ Night.
We also offer a number of units online, including Fiction Elements, Writing Picture Books and Chapter Books, Writing in the Workplace and Industry Overview.
The course is delivered primarily in the classroom, with online/distance learning options available for some subjects.
