Courses

Our courses are:

Diploma of Graphic Design
Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design

You will learn traditional and electronic skills, including:

  • typographic techniques
  • graphics
  • drawing
  • digital photography and layout
  • design for new media
  • design theory

Our industry connections mean you’ll visit printers, design studios, exhibitions and trade shows. You can also take part in our well-established extended work placement program. A unique feature is a two week placement in our Design Studio, working with real clients, on real jobs with real timeframes.

Careers

Previous graduates have gained work in the graphic art and graphic design industry, including studios at Amanda Roach Design, JWT and Graphics Unlimited.

Before joining the workforce, you can continue your studies in the Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. However, excellent employment opportunities exist for Diploma students.

Prospective employers include ad agencies, design studios, ad departments within retail companies, packaging and publishing companies, pre-press print industries and multimedia studios.

Awards

Our students have won recent design competitions including the AGideas Studio Mentorship, the VU Car Branding brief and the VU Excellence Award.
