English Language courses for international students

We offer a range of courses for international students or international visitors wishing to study English in Melbourne, or overseas in partner educational institutes.  Explore further at the English Language Institute (ELI).

Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

Designed for newly arrived migrants, AMEP is a nationally-accredited program which provides basic tuition in the English language to help eligible adult migrants and refugees settle successfully in Australia.

The Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) program

The federal government WELL program is designed  to assist organisations to train workers in English language, literacy and numeracy skills.

This funding is available on a competitive grants basis to organisations for English language and literacy training on-site.  It is linked to job-related workplace training and is designed to help workers and companies meet their current and future employment and training needs.

General Education and Women’s Education programs

These programs, at a range of Certificate levels, are for mature age students who wish to return to study in order to improve and revise their reading, writing, computer and numeracy skills.

They enhance employability prospects, increase confidence and provide pathways to further study in a safe and nurturing environment.
