Putting the squeeze on a career in Hospitality

Our hospitality students get hands on experience at our purpose-built training restaurant, VenU. Training is also delivered through our partnerships with Sofitel Academy and Le Cordon Bleu.

VU is a recognised leader in training, winning national awards for Hospitality and Tourism Provider of the year multiple times.

VenU dining area

VenU is the new hospitality training restaurant at Victoria University. It is fitted with state of the art cooking facilities and can seat 100 guests.

VenU is where students train for certificates in Restaurant Operations, Commercial Cookery, and Kitchen Operations, and diplomas and advanced diplomas in Hospitality Management.

Le Cordon Bleu

In partnership with Le Cordon Bleu, we offer the Associate Degree in Culinary Management. This course delivers high quality, internationally recognised culinary training – developing executive chefs and culinary managers for employment in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region.

At this stage this course is only available to international students. We plan to admit Australian students into the programs in the next 12 months.

We offer courses in a variety of personal services occupations including hairdressing, salon management, make-up, fashion modelling, and beauty therapy.

A career as a make-up artist is exciting and creative. You can prepare models for fashion and photographic shoots; do makeovers for brides, publicity events and cosmetic sales; or work with actors and entertainers in theatre, film and TV.

We teach you the tricks of the trade in modelling. You'll gain skills in presentation, style and learn all about the catwalk.

Beauty therapy facility, King St

If you want to work in a salon as a beauty therapist, or in another beauty-related profession, then study a Certificate III in Beauty Services.

Our beauty therapy course allows you to pathway from TAFE into Higher Education.

You can enjoy a range of services at our Beauty Therapy facility on King St, Melbourne. We offer hairdressing (cutting, styling, colour and fashion perm), beauty therapy (waxing, facial and body treatments, manicure and pedicure, electrolysis) and massage (relaxation, therapeutic, sports, or remedial).
