Workforce Development provides high-level skills to new entrants and existing workers in the growing service industries, including business, tourism, enterprise, health, creative media, hospitality, sport and recreation.

Courses and programs
The Faculty of Workforce Development offers a range of services including:
- Nationally accredited courses ranging from Certificates I to IV, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas
- Skills development for pre-apprentices, apprentices and trainees and currently employed people
- Labour market retraining programs
- Post-trades skill development
- Para-professional training
Flexible work-integrated learning
From certificate through to paraprofessional qualifications, Workforce Development provides proactive on-the-job training, and flexible teaching and learning options to support individuals in the workplace and enterprises. Using flexible teaching and learning materials, enterprises can use both the University and their workplaces to access learning that complements their training schedules and work patterns.
Workforce Development maintains close links with industry, and bases its courses on industry endorsed competency standards. Our vocational education and training is innovative and up-to-date to ensure it is relevant to the workforce.
