Skills Recognition

Skills Recognition is the process by which your employees can have their skills and knowledge assessed against a range of Nationally recognised qualifications.
Skills Recognition is a great opportunity for you to retain skilled staff and to lay the foundation for future business growth.
By having your employees skills and knowledge formally recognised, your business has the opportunity to:
- Build your organisations capacity and capability. This includes strategic opportunities for integration of Skills Recognition processes into your business planning and workforce planning and development.
- Improve confidence, morale and business results by increasing your ability to develop and maintain best practice with a skilled workforce. Skills Recognition is about identifying current skill levels and skill gaps so that investment in training can be better targeted to ensure a skilled workforce.
Skills Recognition should be a user-friendly, supportive process which minimises paperwork and is time efficient. Here is a perfect opportunity for using existing organisational documents and systems to provide employees’ evidence of their skills and knowledge. Some types of evidence could include (but not limited to):
- workplace observations
- questioning
- resumes
- job descriptions
- supervisor reports
- work samples
- photos of work carried out, e-portfolios, videos or DVD’s.
Get your employees started with Skills Recognition Online, the easiest and most convenient way to recognise your employees skills with a National Recognised qualification!
