Portfolio Partnership Program

At Victoria University (VU) we believe Year 12 students should have the opportunity to get into VU based on more than just their ATAR.

The Portfolio Partnership Program (PPP) is an alternative entry program for Year 12 students who attend one of our partnership schools. PPP is about VU assessing your application based on your goals, achievements and community involvement, not just your ATAR.

How to apply

Applications for the PPP are online through the VTAC SEAS application – category 6.

Only students from PPP partnership schools will be able to apply. Teachers will also submit a teacher recommendation on the student’s behalf.

All courses that are available through VTAC will be eligible for the PPP, with the exception of:

  • Bachelor of Laws
  • Bachelor of Laws/Arts
  • Bachelor of Laws/Business
  • Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) – Osteopathy

Things to remember

PPP Rules and Guidelines

  • You can only submit one PPP application for a course at VU (Higher Education or TAFE)
  • You must apply for the PPP course through VTAC using the course code as listed in the VTAC Guide
  • You can only apply for courses through the PPP that have a VTAC course code ending in 1
  • Your PPP course must be included on your VTAC preference list during the ‘timely application’ period
  • To be eligible for entry to a Higher Education degree course you must obtain a minimum ATAR of 50.00, meet tertiary entrance requirements and course requirements such as prerequisites. The minimum ATAR does not apply to Vocational Education (TAFE) courses
  • You must complete all the extra requirements listed in the VTAC course entry so that your course application can be considered under normal VTAC guidelines if your PPP application is unsuccessful

How will my PPP application be assessed?

Your PPP will be assessed on the information you and your school provide. You will be assessed on your goals and skills. Your school is asked to assess the following:

  • Commitment to the area of study
  • Aptitude for the course and related careers
  • Motivation and drive required to complete the course
  • Commitment to learning
  • Capacity for independent work
  • Written and oral communication skills required for the course
  • Educational preparation for the course

Closing Date

Applications open with VTAC applications on 6 August 2012.

The closing date is in line with the SEAS application closing date: 5pm on 9 October.
