I didn’t know what area of remedial massage I wanted to get into when I started studying. But after my placement with the Western Bulldogs, I became very interested in working with elite athletes.

The players and their team of professional physios and myotherapists have been great. Everyone has been extremely supportive in helping me gain practical experience.

The VU clinic is located where the players train at Whitten Oval. The treatment rooms are all new and very well equipped. No other institute would give you this kind of opportunity. We are expected to do five or six hours a day once a week but I find the experience so valuable that I’m sometimes there three times a week.

Working with the Bulldogs has pushed me to do more study and now I’m looking at becoming a physiotherapist. I have also had opportunities to work with people from the community at our Flinders Lane clinic. All of this has given me broad experience with a diverse range of clients.
