Delivered by the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre, this course will provide participants with education in relevant areas of practice to enable them to qualify with up to date knowledge and skills required to work as an education agent.

Applicants must complete an expression of interest form and submit to the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre. The Centre will assess your application and send you a registration form. You must then complete the registration form, return it to the Centre and make payment to secure your place in the course. Send your completed form back to us via email, fax or post:

Course contents

The course is divided into seven modules - covering topics including introduction to the education agents industry, legislation and policy, contractual responsibilities and policy considerations, duties and responsibilities of an education agent, informed consent, practice management, ethics and professional standards. Within each there are a variety of topics. There is optional assessment in each module that participants are encouraged to complete to gain feedback on their understanding and development of skills. The classes comprise lectures, practical exercises and group work. The classes will be interactive and each participant will receive individual support dependent on their needs.
