To achieve a Certificate II in Hairdressing, 13 units must be completed comprising: 10 core units, plus 3 elective units.

A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.
Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.

- TAFE: To qualify for admission to the course, applicants must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Head of School that they are capable of successfully completing the course. Recognition of prior learning may be available based on skills and knowledge acquired by the applicant through previous study, as in articulation, informal or formal learning or from work and/or life experience.
