Head of School, Foundation, Community and Indigenous Programs

Virginia Saint-James has worked at VU for 16 years in the further education sector, initially as a teacher of English as a Second Language and Adult Literacy.

For the past nine years she has been a Head of School, currently heading up the School of Foundation, Community and Indigenous Programs.

Virginia has extensive experience in developing English language and Literacy programs for industry. She has previously served as Chair of the former Vocational Education Board, as a member of the Board of TAFE and as a member of the University Council at VU.

She also undertook the role of President of VISTA - the Association of VET Professionals for three years and served as a member of the VISTA Executive for seven years.
