Sally-Anne's role is to provide strategic leadership and direction for 300 staff and 14,000 students that comprise the Faculty. The Faculty includes 7 schools which provide high quality programs, products and services in Vocational Education.

Sally-Anne has a background in teaching, including special education qualifications and a Masters in Education. She came to VU from East Gippsland Institute of TAFE where she held a number of management roles, including Manager of Social Sciences and Visual Arts, Commercial Business Manager, and Acting Associate Director - Learning and Innovation.

In 2007, she spent three months with the TAFE Development Centre looking after project responsibilities including leadership research, specialist scholarships and industry partnerships.

Her other project experience includes  developing and implementing individualised curriculum plans at Broxtowe College Nottingham University and providing flexible, appropriate training to indigenous groups within the prison system through Deakin University. Sally-Anne believes implicitly in the power of education to transform lives and that vocational training and further education are important additions throughout a learner's life.
