Dean Laureate Robert Pascoe

Robert Pascoe is a Professor of History at VU and is an experienced media commentator in print, radio and television.

Rob is the author of The Winter Game (1995) - a social history of Australian Rules as played throughout Australia. He is working on a history of football in colonial Melbourne with Dr Mark Pennings of Queensland University of Technology.

He writes about:

  • football's own fictional quality, 'the trope of the torp', as he likes to call it
