Director, Risk, Legal, Records and Compliance

Natalina Velardi joined Victoria University as Director of Compliance Services in December 2008. She is responsible for leadership and management of the Division which incorporates Legal Services, Audit and Risk and Records Services. The department falls within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Planning, Marketing and External Affairs).

Natalina has held various management roles in the public, not for profit and private sectors. Prior to joining VU, she was the Deputy General Manager - Legal Services Division at the Australian Communications & Media Authority.

Natalina also worked at the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) where she was Manager of the Advocacy & Practice Group before becoming Acting CEO of the LIV in 2006.

The Advocacy & Practice Group led the development of policy proposals and managed the committee structure of the LIV. In the private sector, Natalina has held line management and strategy development roles with the National Australia Bank as both Manager of the Internet Channel and as a Strategy Advisor for e-Commerce and Customer Relationship Management.
