Professor Jenny Sharples

Jenny Sharples has 20 years experience in academic teaching, research and service at Victoria University and is committed to the University and its mission. She has taken a range of service roles at the School, Faculty and University levels including:
- Member of the University Council
- Deputy Chair of the Academic Board
- Head of School
- Coordinator of courses such as the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Psychology,
- Coordinator of an applied research unit: the Wellness Promotion Unit, and
- Coordinator of the VU Psychology Clinic
She is a registered psychologist and has a strong background in mental health through clinical and community psychology practice. Before joining the University she worked in the area of community mental health. She has pioneered learning in the community in the psychology undergraduate program at VU and continues to take a strong interest in the student experience.
Jenny's research interests take a strengths based approach to the areas of health and wellness. She is a member of the Clinical and Community Colleges of the Australian Psychological Society.
