Whether you want to study full-time or part-time, or can only study during non-business hours, the VGSB will shape the ideal course structure for you.
The VGSB offers master programs in the full range of business specialisations, including:
Master of Business Administration
Our Master of Business Administration (MBA) is highly regarded because of its international diversity, options to study abroad, smaller class sizes and range of Masters programs.
It has been ranked number one in Australia and number six in the global Top 20 by London-based CEO magazine and sixth in the Financial Review's 2011 MBA Boss ranking.
On completion of four approved units of study, students who choose to exit the course will be eligible to receive the Graduate Certificate in Business.
Doctor of Business Administration
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) was pioneered in Australia by Victoria University. This course is the highest degree awarded in the study of business.
In your DBA, you will develop appropriate business knowledge and skills, and learn how to apply interactive research processes to help solve the problems of business and government in an innovative, resourceful and responsible manner.
If you wish to pursue a career in a sector that plays a fundamental role in business, choose one of the many postgraduate accounting courses we offer.
The Master of Accounting offers three streams of study to choose from depending on your educational requirements; the Professional Qualification Stream, the Professional Accounting Education Stream and the Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) Stream.
The Master of Business (Finance) is a highly specialised course involving advanced studies in financial risk management. You can choose to study this or pair your finance qualification with our globally recognised Master of Business Administration course; Master of Business (Finance)/Master of Business Administration. Either way, you will gain the in-depth knowledge and skills needed for success in the finance profession.
Enterprise Resource Planning and Information Systems
The Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems will help you gain the necessary computing and business skills to support the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and, more importantly, understand the implications these systems have on business processes.
Our Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) is the only ERP Master course in Australia. You will gain a competitive edge and will likely fill senior roles
in ICT and ERP systems – across many industry sectors.
Choose the Master of Business (Information Systems) and boost your career prospects with this advanced program.
Supply Chain Management
The Master of Business (Supply Chain Management) focuses on grooming you to fill senior management positions in whichever industry you wish to work in.
You will become extremely adept at the full range of activities behind the supply chain – from global procurement and supply chain and logistics management to distribution strategies, operations management and ERP.
Study the Master of Business (Management) and develop your skills across a range of management functions - including change management, organisation development, operations and supply chain management, human resource management and general management.
Complete the marketing specialisation in the Master of Business (Marketing) so that you are ready to hit the ground running in your marketing career, armed with all the secrets for connecting brands with consumers in memorable and effective ways.
We are committed to self-generated and collaborative research that solves community issues. We have undertaken numerous research projects with clients including small and large businesses, community organisations and government agencies.
In July 2013, some of our staff were successful in a grant application with the Australia-China Council (ACC) Board. The grant of A$29,100 is part of the project "Leading-edge information, communication and geospatial technologies to support 'green growth' and sustainable tourism in China and Australia".
