SUPERVISION INFORMATION
Whilst the quality of the supervisor/student relationship is a vital factor in the satisfactory completion of the thesis, different supervisors have different strategies and styles of working with students, and differences in supervisory practice also occur between disciplines. This section of the manual attempts to clarify the role of the supervisor and student in the supervisory relationship. It also raises some issues that are important for the success of the supervisory relationship and the successful completion of the research student's program, regardless of discipline.
