Social and Cultural Diversity
ICEPA is focused on Social and Cultural Diversity research which encompasses community engagement, teaching and training with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. ICEPA considers issues of identity, participation in society - such as schools, education and the workplace - the migration experience, language and communication, and ties to the homeland through the study of diasporas. The institute recognises the diversity within these communities, such as age and gender.
Community Strengthening and Wellbeing
ICEPA has also performed research in the area of Community Strengthening and Wellbeing.
This research focused on ICEPA's commitment to developing activities that support communities, particularly in Melbourne's West, and activities that test the boundaries of this newly emerging area of policy and practice.
