Travel from the airport

If you do not book the VUI Airport Reception service or if you want to travel independently, information is available from the information desk in the international terminal at the airport about travel options.

Bus

The Skybus Coach service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week between Melbourne Airport and the city. The service departs from the Qantas Australian domestic terminal every 15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight. The domestic terminal entry and exit doors at Melbourne Airport are either side of the international entry and exit doors in the same building.

Most services travel directly to the Melbourne Transit Centre in Franklin Street and then on to Spencer Street railway station. For departure times and fare information, visit www.skybus.com.au

Public buses operate from the terminal to various areas in Melbourne. Information on destinations and schedules can be obtained from the information desks at the airport.

Taxi

Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport. Expect to pay around A$40 for the 30 minute trip into Melbourne's central business district (CBD).
