Clubs and societies

One great way to get involved with campus life is to join one of the many special interest or sporting clubs. Victoria University Sports and Recreation run a variety of sports through organised teams and social events.

You can get together with people studying your subject, people who live near your campus or people who have similar interests. Joining a university club or society can be a great way to meet new people. Many run exciting events, from karaoke competitions to social balls.

If there's no club that suits you, start your own! All you need to do is get a group of ten or more interested people on your campus. Recreation Officers will offer you all the resources and support you need to get off the ground.

You'll find clubs that cater to your special interests.

There are also many associations that allow you to meet people from your home country or religion.
