Frontline Management is a nationally accredited program, which is directed at providing new and experienced managers with the people skills and technical skills to be successful in their role.
Victoria University's expertise in Frontline Management is based upon extensive involvement in training and the proven ability to deliver programs using appropriate adult-centred teaching methodologies on a state and national level.
The Leadership and Frontline Management program area focuses on developing partnerships with industry clients and customising content and delivery to suit their specific objectives. Currently the program area delivers training, in industry, to over four hundred and fifty people annually. Delivery methods include:
- traditional workshops
- self-paced training
- workplace projects
- The programs are all supported by individual coaching and mentoring, and delivered at times and locations to suit the needs of each client.
Leadership for Education and Training
Victoria University, in partnership with the Chair Academy in the United States, has delivered the Leadership Development Program for Education & Training Managers since 1998.
The program integrates skills-based leadership training and professional development. Throughout the program, education & training leaders gain the information, skills and support they need to excel in their positions, lead their departments or divisions, and their institutions, in providing outstanding educational programs and services to their students, clients and communities. Participants in the program are involved in:
- An introductory week-long residential component of Leadership Development workshops
- A two semester structured workplace experience, which includes the development and implementation of an Individualised Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
- A mentoring program, together with reflective experience
- A concluding week-long residential component comprising of Leadership Development workshops.
