Regional focus

Our courses provide graduates with good employment prospects in the western metropolitan region where there is a high demand for qualified workers in the community services sector with government and non-government agencies.

The provision of family and community studies programs is influenced by the multicultural nature of the western region, the youthful and rapidly growing population centres and the emphasis on implementing social justice strategies essential to redress traditional socioeconomic disadvantage in the region.

A broad approach

In addition to these courses, the School conducts labour market programs and training courses for industry, and is also involved in a number of activities and research projects.
