Perform General Funeral Celebrancy (WFSFNL407A)

This comprehensive four day training program (over 6 weeks) develops your knowledge and skills in funeral celebrancy including rituals and symbols, communication with families in grief, planning and responsibilities and administration of Funeral services.

Become confident in planning and performing funeral ceremonies using music,
literature and culturally significant elements as well as sensitively relating to family
members and related professionals.

On successful completion of training, you will receive a Certificate of Attainment which will enable you to:

prepare and plan for a funeral ceremony in a professional manner
conduct and orchestrate a ceremony in a culturally and socially satisfying manner

For selection into the course you will be required to:

have appropriate language and literacy skills in keeping with the role and
responsibilities required for this position in the community
may be requested to provide 2 references
have access to a computer and have sufficient skills to complete the
computerised requirements of this training
attend an information session and pre-selection interview at Victoria University.
