Order Picker

To legally operate a powered industrial truck where the operator's control is incorporated with the load carriage or lifting media and elevates with it, you must complete this Certificate of Competency in order to get a WorkSafe licence/ticket.

Competency TDTD1297B Operate Specialised Load Shifting Equipment
(from Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage) TDT20102)
Provides basic driver training in the safe operation of Order Pickers as used in the warehousing industry and includes WorkSafe assessment (cost included in course fee).

AM I ELIGIBLE?
You must be at least 18. Ability to drive a car would be an advantage.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?
In addition to practical training on an Order Picker, the course covers:

  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Operator Responsibilities
  • Hazard Identification
  • Accident Causes
  • Order Picker Components
  • Pre-operational Checks
  • Safe Operating Practice
  • Machine Stability and Capacity
  • Load Handling
  • Load Weight Assessment.

HOW LONG'S THE COURSE?
Full-time: 8am - 4pm, two days.

Industry Skills Training, Gate 4 Hoppers Lane, Werribee.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
$174.20 per person (includes Tuition and Materials Fees).
Plus $60 per licence category to WorkSafe Victoria for National Certification.
