To legally operate most earthmoving equipment without supervision, you must complete this Certificate of Competency in order to get a National Plant & Equipment (NPE) licence/ticket.

Unit of Study: VBQU205 Operate Earthmoving Equipment Safely
(specialising in Front End Loader, Backhoe, Skidsteer and Excavator)
Provides basic training in the safe operation of earthmoving equipment including front end loader, skidsteer, backhoe and excavator and includes assessment and issue of NPE card (cost included in course fees). To enable you to get the maximum operating experience, class size is limited to eight people and four earthmoving machines will be available.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
You must be at least 18. Ability to drive a car would be an advantage.

Full-time: 8am - 4pm, ten days.

$546.70 per person (includes Tuition and Materials Fees plus assessment and issue of NPE card).
