To legally work as a Dogger without supervision, you must complete this Certificate of Competency in order to get a WorkSafe licence/ticket.
Competency BCG3041A Undertake Dogging
(from Certificate III in General Construction BCG31398)
Introduces the basic skills associated with the slinging and movement of loads with cranes and includes WorkSafe assessment (cost included in course fee).
AM I ELIGIBLE?
You must be at least 18.
WHAT DOES IT COVER?
Provides practical training with mobile cranes and overhead travelling cranes in combination with a variety of commonly used slinging and lifting gear, and also includes:

- Operator Responsibilities
- Hazard Identification
- Accident Causes
- Sling Types
- Lifting Gear
- Equipment Inspection
- Crane Types and Components
- Crane Principles
- Load Weight Assessment
- Crane Direction - Whistle and Hand Signals.
HOW LONG'S THE COURSE?
Full-time: 8am - 4pm, nine days.
Part-time 5:30 - 9:30pm (one or two nights per week).

WHAT DOES IT COST?
$316.40 per person (includes Tuition and Materials Fees).
Plus $60 per licence category to WorkSafe Victoria for National Certification.
