Advanced Rigging

To legally do advanced rigging work, you must complete this Certificate of Competency in order to get a WorkSafe licence/ticket.

Course in Advanced Rigging 2002ACC
Develops the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently perform advanced rigging work and includes WorkSafe assessment (cost included in course fee).

AM I ELIGIBLE?
You must:

  • be at least 18
  • have completed the WorkSafe Intermediate Rigging Certificate of Competency.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?
In addition to practical training in advanced rigging skills, the course covers:

  • Flying Foxes and Cableways
  • Guyed Derricks and Structures
  • Erection of Fabricated Hung Scaffolds
  • Erection of Suspended Scaffolds
  • Inspection of Fabricated Hung and Suspended Scaffolds
  • Dismantling of Fabricated Hung and Suspended Scaffolds.

ASSESSMENT
To pass, you must satisfactorily complete each of the following sections of the HSO Assessment Instruments:

  • Section 1: Span Ropes
  • Section 2: Gin Poles
  • Section 3: Suspended Scaffolds.

HOW LONG'S THE COURSE?
Full-time: 8am - 4pm, five days.

WHERE IS IT?
Industry Skills Training, Gate 4 Hoppers Lane, Werribee

WHAT DOES IT COST?
$305.70 per person (includes Tuition and Materials Fees).
Plus $60 per licence category to WorkSafe Victoria for National Certification.

PLEASE NOTE
You must:

  • bring two passport photos to the first training session
  • provide proof of identity as per attached Proof of Identity Requirements for Undertaking a Course / WorkSafe Assessment
  • attend all scheduled training sessions at all scheduled times
  • wear safety boots during training.
