ammonium compounds (e.g. Aliquat 336), and di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid DEHP) with main applications in the area of hydrometallurgy, waste waters and environment.

Membrane Extraction:
PVC membrane in which extractant (including  Aliquat 336 and
di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid (DEHP)) is embedded into this membrane,
is used to extract metals for the purpose of either concentrating the metals
or removing and/or separation of metals with main applications in the area of
hydrometallurgy, waste waters and environment.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction:
Using carbon dioxide as the solvent is used to extract metals including
Cu2+, Zn2+,, Co2+,  and Ni2+

Analytical Chemistry:
Research interest is in the area of applied analytical chemistry.
Research areas range from the analysis of environmental pollutants
by novel methods for the separation and analysis of trace constituents
of commercial materials, metallic ores and biological substances.
Techniques involved include High Performance Liquid Chromatography,
Gas Chromatography, GC-MS, Spectroscopy methods including Mass
Spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry, I.R. Spectroscopy,
FTIR Spectoscopy.Alternative Medicine(Herbal Medicine) - Interest in this
are is focus on the investigation of the active components present in these
medicines including ginseng.
