Excellent access is guaranteed with an approximate ratio of 1 computer to every 2 undergraduate students. Post-graduate students have access to an additional 40 dedicated specialized computers.

Access Grid Room (AGR)

D622 is an Access Grid node, facilitating teaching and research. The room is designed to function as one large space or three independent functional areas to support various teaching activities. It can accomodate up to 35 participants. There is an interactive large LCD panel at the entrance to tbe facility providing general information.

The Access Grid Room will allow the postgraduate community - and professionals - access to international experts who are visiting Australia. The AccessGrid network will enable AMSI member institutions to present seminars, lectures, honours and masters courseware, and multimedia resources remotely and interactively, and in return, to participate in events presented by other AMSI institutions.

The AccessGrid network will also provide a means of carrying out collaborative research with peers within Australia and internationally. Where appropriate, they can be used for undergraduate teaching.
