These degrees provide graduates with a broad range of computing, generic problem-solving and communication skills. During the third year, students undertake at least one practical industry project that greatly enhances employment prospects.

Honours Courses

Students who do exceptionally well in their degree studies may be given the opportunity to gain an Honours degree by completing a fourth year of study in a specific field. This year is designed to assist students who may wish to proceed to higher degrees by research, but it also enables students to concentrate their studies more intensely on areas of particular interest.

Aviation Courses
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Aviation SBCA
This course provides students with a practical and applied approach to computer science and aviation. It develops student's knowledge and skills in computer science, the mathematical sciences and aeronautical theory at a level sufficient to satisfy the requirements for a Commercial Pilot's License (CPL), and Instrument Rating.

Entry Requirements
- VCE: If you are applying from VCE you will need the following minimum requirements:
- a minimum ENTER score of 60 or higher,
- a study score in Mathematical Methods of 22 or higher,
- a clear pass in English.
- TAFE articulation: Students who have completed approved diplomas of IT (or equivalent) are eligible to apply for advanced standing into the course. If successful a minimum of 12 months of study exemption will be granted.
- Interstate or Overseas: If you are entering from interstate, or from overseas, you will need to provide the selection officer (see below) with proof that you have obtained equivalent standards to those listed above.
- Mature Age: You will need to contact the selection officer directly; however to enter the course you will be expected to demonstrate a proficiency in mathematics and a good command of English.

Postgraduate Courses
The School offers a number of postgraduate courses including Graduate Diplomas, Masters course work programs and Masters and PhD research degrees. Students who successfully complete a Graduate Diploma may apply for admission into a course work Masters program. The School staff and students are actively involved with industry through consulting, research and student projects.

International Students
All applicants must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language:
- IELTS - an overall band score of 6-7, subject to individual profile.
- TOEFL - a minimum score of 550 plus a Test of Written English score of 5.
Accommodation
Modern, comfortable accommodation is available at the Student Village conveniently located only four kilometres from the Footscray Park campus and nine kilometres from the centre of Melbourne. It is well serviced by public transport. The student village is located in 12 hectares of parkland and provides accommodation for 600 students in 2, 3 and 4 bedroom 'cluster-style' flats. Students can choose between self-catered and non-catered accommodation.
Fees
There are different scales of fees for Australian and international students. A number of HECS places are also available for Australian students. The tuition cost does not include the cost of accommodation, travel, daily living expenses or books ot materials.
