The School of Biomedical Sciences is equipped with world-class laboratories and equipment for teaching and research. These include real time PCR, differential display, microarray techniques, high performance liquid chromatography, fluorescent spectroscopy and bioluminescence, and in situ hybridisation.

In addition, the school has excellent facilities for animal surgery, light microscopy and an extensive range
of traditional physiological measurements.
