As a result of a recent faculty restructure, The School of Psychology will now form a part of the new School of Social Sciences and Psychology. The website will be updated in the near future to reflect this change.
The School of Psychology aims to offer the highest quality instruction across all levels of education, from undergraduate to postgraduate study, and Learning in the Workplace. Learning in the Workplace. The School is also proud to host the Wellness Promotion Unit, located at the St Albans campus of Victoria University.
With a distinct focus on 'people psychology,' the School examines how the discipline of psychology relates to real-life situations. This orientation differentiates our psychology courses from other universities', giving students a more applied grounding in the discipline. All programs are taught by highly qualified professionals, with almost all of the lecturing staff having worked as psychologists. This background allows staff to draw on their practical experiences in their teaching and research activities.
The School and its lecturers also emphasise the importance of personalising education, ensuring students are a priority. Staff are readily available for students to discuss academic concerns.
The School of Psychology has been accredited by the Australian Psychological Society, thus all courses follow the necessary guidelines for students to become accredited and registered psychologists.
