Why do it?

  • Victoria University encourages its students to complete part of their studies abroad and is committed to providing them with course choices and opportunities in response to the changing nature of work and the workplace locally and internationally.
  • China is an emerging and dynamic economic power and there are growing opportunities for those who have knowledge of Chinese language, culture and society.
  • The best way to progress quickly is to learn Chinese (Mandarin) in-country in an intensive manner within an ideal language environment.
  • The Study Tour also offers participants the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Chinese people, society and culture, and to enjoy China's well-known historical sites and natural scenery (optional).
  • Greater flexibility and more choices are offered to the tour participants this year.
  • The host of our Study Tour is Nankai University, which is one of China's most prestigious universities.
  • The Study Tour has been successfully organised for about 15 years on an annual basis (subject to enrolments etc.) and has been building on the experiences gained year by year.
