A high priority for our Faculty is to provide an international dimension to its teaching, research and community engagement programs and activities and this is reflected on many different levels.

International students from more than 50 different countries are active participants in our courses and make a valuable contribution to the Faculty's intellectual, cultural and social life. To get more information about courses, study options and the application process see VU International. The Faculty provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment for its international students and is committed to international student support.

Our local students also have the opportunity to add an international dimension to their studies through participation in:

  • International student exchange programs with partner universities in more than 20 countries
  • Annual study tours for cross-cultural experience and language learning with credit towards a student's course, to countries such as China, Vietnam and East Timor
  • Fieldwork and work-integrated learning opportunities both overseas and with culturally diverse communities in Melbourne

Scholarships are available to provide financial assistance for students wishing to participate in these programs.
