The Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science operates at the forefront of knowledge and technology, providing students with sound scientific training and a strong emphasis on practical skills and problem-solving abilities. The Faculty provides a new approach to learning, and there has been a major change to problem/project based learning (PBL) strategies in the classroom.
The Science Specialisation course offers students the opportunity to mix and match units of study, allowing more flexibility in tailoring a course that meets with their requirements. Students can complete a Bachelor of Science with a specialisation in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Community Science, Computing, Ecology and Environmental Management, Mathematics, and Physics.

| The "VU Science & Engineering Challenge" is an innovative outreach program designed to show students in years 9 and 10 that a career in science, engineering or technology can be a part of anyone's future. Over the course of one day, 8 teams of 30+ students competitively engage in 8 funfilled activities designed to show students the fundamental principles of physics and mathematics 'in peration'. The reward (to all students) is to complete the day with a feeling that "I could be a scientist, engineer or technologist - after all!" |
The Faculty has an extensive INTERNATIONAL program, and runs offshore programs in Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, and an external program in Sydney, Australia. We are committed to meeting the needs and aspirations of INTERNATIONAL students and their home country. VU International handles enrolments and admissions for onshore (local) INTERNATIONAL students.
