Sunbury Hall re-opened in February 2005, offering affordable on-campus living to students studying at the Sunbury, Melton and St Albans campuses of Victoria University. Just walk across Circular Drive to your lectures - no public transport costs. Library and computing facilities are on the campus. Students from other campuses with cars could also find Sunbury Hall a great option. Students living here come from metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria, interstate and a range of overseas countries .
The town of Sunbury has a population of 35000 and is well served by 5 supermarkets, an interesting range of fast food outlets, cinema complex, restaurants, Big W, Target, Bunnings and a great variety of small utility stores. Some part time employment opportunities exist in the township. There is a swimming pool, golf course, basketball stadium and a range of sporting clubs. There is a regular train and bus service to Melbourne CBD and by car the city centre is just 30 minutes drive. Sunbury is easily accessed from the Calder and Hume Highways and the Tullamarine Freeway.
