The Counselling Service has a counsellor located at most VU campsuses, so students are welcome to drop-in to one of the offices to make an appointment. However, not all the Counselling Service offices are open everyday, so it can be easier to call any of our three reception points during normal business hours on 9919 2399 or 9919 8801 or 9919 4418.
We will always try to make you an appointment at a time that is most convenient for you and at the campus you prefer to visit. However, this is not always possible and sometimes you might need to visit a campus other than your main campus to see a counsellor. Appointments usually take up to one hour so please allow at least this much time when you are planning your day.
Once you have made an appointment time, it is a good idea to think about the issues that you'd like to discuss and what outcomes you would like to achieve. Doing this type of prepartion can help you get the most out of counselling.
