Student Village is a residential campus of Victoria University. It is located in Maribyrnong, 9km from the center of Melbourne and provides accommodation for over 500 tertiary students. It physically comprises of six individual colleges, however all colleges interact as part of a strong community spirit. Take the online tour to see what Student Village has to offer.
Both residences offer a unique student lifestyle and community that not only provides academic encouragement with onsite tutoring, dinners, study groups, and 24hour computer lab access, but also Res Lifers, who organise social and recreational activities including camps, meals, outings, dance, drama, aerobics, netball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and a host of fun orientation activities.
Student Crisis Information
Student Residences provides support services to residents in conjunction with other university student services. Important Student Crisis information is available to both students and staff.
A critical student incident is defined 'as a situation where a student's mental health or emotional well being may be at risk and where there is a likelihood of self harm or harm to others. Examples of this would be attempted suicide, a severe mental health episode, involvement in a traumatic event, threatening of violent behaviour'.

Victoria University Counselling Service provide free and confidential counselling support to all VU students in relation to any issues that may be affecting your learning and well-being.
Should you be in crisis outside of business hours, there are after hours services available at the respective Student Residences. There are also a number of external services that you are able to contact at any time.
