Australian Broadcasting Corporation invites applications for the ABC Women in Engineering Scholarships. Up to eight scholarships are offered annually to Australian women in either their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of an Electrical Engineering Degree, Diploma or similar, to encourage them to pursue a career in the broadcast industry. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) Foundation offers  Work Integrated Learning (WIL) scholarships comprising intensive college-based training and relevant practical experience overseas, with support and further WIL experience on return to Australia. The Australian Government Scholarship Programme aims to promote sustainable development and excellence in education in the Asia-Pacific Region. Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) invites students to apply for the Tony Noon Memorial Scholarship. Available annually to honours, Masters or PhD students from an Australian university as a one-off grant to a maximum value of $3000. The purpose of the fund is to help students aspiring to, or considering, a career in the petroleum exploration and production industry in any discipline directly related to the industry. Cambridge Australia Trust awards ten PhD scholarships and one coursework Master's scholarship each year to Australian graduates of outstanding academic merit to study at the University of Cambridge. Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree with first-class honours, or a research Master's degree from a recognized Australian university and be Australian citizens. Department of Justice offers the Disability ScholarshipScheme of up to three awards to full-time or part-time tertiary students with a disability each year. Valued at up to $20,000 per year for two years. European Commission provides scholarships to study in Europe under the Erasmus Mundus program. Scholarships cover travel costs and living costs for graduate students to pursue a Masters program in Europe. Gates Cambridge Scholarships are offered annually to enable outstanding young men and women from outside the United Kingdom to study as graduate students at the University of Cambridge. The Trust looks for students with leadership potential in any walk of life, coupled with exceptional academic ability, and for whom advanced study at Cambridge would be particularly appropriate. Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded only to students who gain admission to the University of Cambridge through the regular admissions procedures. The scholarship funds: all relevant University and College Fees, a maintenance allowance for a single student (£12,250 for 12 months for 2008-09), an economy one-way airfare to the UK at the start of the course of study and an economy one-way airfare from the UK upon completion of the course. Scholars may also apply for discretionary funding towards the costs of dependants, conferences, fieldwork, overruns and other matters relating to their academic courses. The General Sir John Monash Foundation offers up to eight Awards annually for outstanding Australian students graduating from Australian Universities to enable them to study abroad at the world's best Universities, appropriate to their field of study.  The Foundation supports study programmes in any field, which leads to the highest academic research degree generally accepted in that field of study. Principally, this will be a PhD or DPhil or an equivalent research doctoral degree. However, the Foundation will consider supporting an applicant undertaking a Masters Degree provided the course extends their capability for a special purpose. International Specialised Skills Institute offers grants and fellowships to people seeking overseas skills training not available in Australia. McDonald's Australia offers the Charlie Bell Scholarship for Future Leaders with a contribution of up to $15,000 towards tuition fees for undergraduate or postgraduate study. National Heart Foundation of Australia offers Vacation Scholarships to give undergraduates an opportunity to participate in BIOMEDICAL, CLINICAL or PUBLIC HEALTH research projects which are broadly related to cardiovascular function and disease. These projects are to be carried out during the summer vacation. The Scholarships are tenable for six to eight weeks and are valued at $180 per week. Open to Australian citizens or Permanent Residents, based in Australia, currently enrolled in undergraduate Medicine or Science. Usually applicants will have successfully completed at least two years of their course. The Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship is for Indigenous Australians to study Honours in Political Science or related subjects. The Palliative Care Foundation offers annual grants to help fund course costs for postgraduate or other courses in the field of palliative care. The grants are available to individuals with a commitment to the Palliative Care sector. Under the Parents Returning to Work Program, parents planning a return to work can apply for a grant to undertake training that increases their work skills and job prospects. This grant entitles the holder to tuition fees and training related costs up to the value of $1,000. Training must be with providers registered with the Program. Rural Finance scholarships are open to first and second year students who can demonstrate a career commitment to agriculture. This includes students who wish to take up farming as a career or who are planning to provide consultancy, research, technological, marketing and other services to agriculture. Each year Rural Finance awards up to 6 students studying at a Victorian tertiary institution with scholarships each worth up to $6,000 per annum for the duration of their course. Victorian Government offers 150 Maths and Science Graduate Scholarships over three annual intakes. The Scholarship seeks to attract graduates with mathematics or science studies to teaching. Recipients will complete a graduate entry teaching course and will also be encouraged to consider going on to teach in Victorian government schools.
