Becoming a financial member of the VU Alumni Community entitles you to receive a wide variety of services and benefits from the Alumni Relations Program, from personal and professional development programs, to discounted osteopathic treatments.
Personal and professional development opportunities
VU Alumni membership provides exciting personal and professional development opportunities to update your skills, improve your network of contacts and enhance your career prospects through events such as:

Social Events
Social Events for VU Alumni members include reunions, anniversaries and other general celebrations. We'll keep you informed of upcoming events through our Alumni Email News, or visit the Events section to see the calendar of future social events.
Library Access
In addition to book borrowing rights at all Victoria University libraries, financial VU Alumni members now have access to a new e-database/journal service. To find out more, visit the VU Library.
However, alumni access does not include BONUS+, CAVAL or National Reciprocal borrowing schemes.
VU Short Courses
You are entitled to 10% off course registration fees. Discounts are not available in conjunction with other special offers. To find out about the latest course offerings to improve your career prospects or for personal development visit the Short Course Centre.
VU Bookshop
You are entitled to a 7.5% discount on selected items upon presentation of your Alumni Member Card. The discount is not available on sale items. Find out more about the VU Bookshop including information about the great range of University merchandise available to you.
VU Health Science Teaching Clinics
A range of reduced cost treatments are available on presentation of your Alumni Member Card, including:
- Osteopathic Medicine
- Acupuncture
- Chinese Herbal Medicine
- Massage

VU Sport & Fitness Centres
Financial VU Alumni members receive discounted monthly membership to the campus fitness centres. Memberships are available and include:
- Use of the weights room
- Group exercise classes
- Aquatic exercise classes
- Swimming pool and sauna (Footscray Park Campus only - aquatic memberships also available)
Fitness Centres are located at the Footscray Park, St Albans, Sunbury and Werribee campuses.
Hairdressing, beauty and massage services
Financial and VU Alumni members are also entitled to access a range of hairdressing, beauty and massage services at VU's King Street Campus. Services available include:
- Hairdressing - cutting, styling and colouring and fashion perms
- Beauty Therapy - waxing, facial and body treatments, manicures, pedicures and electrolysis
- Massage - relaxation, therapeutic, sports and remedial
