My Brilliant Careers - For the 21st Century
Alumni Relations, Personal & Professional Development Program
Today the 21st century demands much more from us. Current data suggests that we will have between six to eight careers in our lifetime and career management is no longer just about climbing a ladder, responding to every opportunity your employer offers you, or knee jerk reactions based on job dissatisfaction. My Brilliant Careers - for the 21st Century explored what it takes to have a brilliant career.
This successful workshop was hosted by VU Graduate Helena Steel and Director and Principal Coach of the Open Door Coaching Group. It provided practical exercises required to achieve Brilliant Careers for the 21st Century
Progress your Career!
A dinner presentation by Paul Whitelaw
Paul Whitelaw returned following last year's successful: "It's a long way to the top if you want to Rock n' Roll (Unless you carefully plan your Career Strategy)".
Based upon his PhD research, Paul presented an analysis of the comparative career performance of women in terms of some of the underlying drivers of career success. The key focus of the analysis investigated the relative impact of cognitive intelligence, emotional intelligence, personality and career management strategies in driving career success.
This event also included plenty of networking time.
