PHOTO OPPORTUNITY

Victoria University's Vice Chancellor Professor Elizabeth Harman will unveil a commissioned portrait of the Foundation Director of the Western Institute, Emeritus Professor Eric Lund, on Wednesday 27 February 2008, marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Western Institute, now part of Victoria University.

The portrait artist, Shannon Smiley, is a VU graduate who completed a Diploma of Arts: Visual Arts, in 2003 and is pursuing a career as a painter. His portrait of Eric will eventually hang in the VU Gallery at City Flinders Campus.

Former staff of the Western Institute will also be in attendance.
