Completing a Bachelor of Business in Information Systems, also working as a Client Support Assistant
"I started a Certificate IV at TAFE, which gives you a briefing of everything in IT -- tech support, programming, the lot. It gave me a real hunger for the subject, so I went on to the Diploma in User Technology and Support.
I then started my Bachelor of Business in Information Systems. Having done TAFE I was able to get exemptions, so I didn't have to repeat stuff.
Through VU's Co-op [Co-operative Education] I got a year of work experience with VU's IT Services, and was then offered a permanent position.
The reason I like IT is because it is constantly changing. I'd definitely recommend IT as an area of study - it branches out into so many different sectors.
I would like to move into networks in the future, possibly being a network administrator."
