Audio-Visual Facilities
The Conference Centre can be separated into four independent presentation rooms each equipped with projection and presentation facilities.
Each of the four rooms is fitted with a Barco 6300 LCD Projector. These projectors are capable of displaying all video formats from standard Composite Video to VGA with a resolution of up to 1280 x 1024.
For larger conferences, the Centre can be separated into two larger rooms with the same facilities available.
The Centre is also fitted with a Bose speaker system, which delivers crisp, premium sound via the attached audio equipment. The audio system uses both wired and wireless microphone systems allowing the user to either give a fixed-position presentation from behind a lectern or a presentation while moving around the conference room. The audio from all other peripherals is also heard through the Bose speaker system.
The audio and video components are hidden within each lectern and are controlled via an interactive touch panel located on the face of each lectern. The lectern is designed to give the presenter instantaneous access to all of the available audio-visual facilities. These facilities include:
- Digital Video Disc (DVD)
- Video cassette
- Video CD (VCD)
- Audio cassette
- Compact Disc
- VGA (using a Pentium PC)
- Slide-to-video conversion
- Document camera (for document presentations)
- Off-air television
- Auxiliary audio video inputs (which can be used for your own equipment)
