Skills Reform will take effect from 1 July 2009 with changes to course fees and eligibility criteria. These changes will apply to students commencing a new TAFE course offered by Victoria University.

The following full-fee rate will apply for those students not eligible for a government funded place for courses at Diploma and above:

VET FEE-HELP

Victoria University can provide you with VET FEE-HELP from 1 July 2009 under the VET FEE-HELP Assistance Scheme - one of the first TAFE institutions to be approved.

VET FEE-HELP assists eligible students to pay for all, or part, of their VET tuition fees when studying an eligible VET course at VU. From 1 July 2009 new fees apply for TAFE courses at diploma level and above. Access to the new VET FEE-HELP system will help students defer payment of these higher fees. Each student will make the delayed fee payment through the taxation system once their income reaches a certain level.

Information on VET FEE-HELP for Student and Parents is available from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), as well as a VET FEE-HELP 2009 information brochure.
